Beach House

We partnered with returning clients on their new lakefront home to create a remarkable landscape that is both functional for them as empty-nesters and full of fun for frequent summertime guests. The site is located in a Critical Dune Area along Lake Michigan which required special DEQ permits as well as focused our attention to sustainable practices, materials, and species.

Guests are welcomed street-side by four raised limestone planting beds to admire before continuing along barrier-free quartz walkways to the lakefront side of the home where an expansive wood and quartz patio coalesces with native perennials, grasses and shade trees.

The final result is a perfect blend of color, motion, and convenience for this special couple to enjoy and share!
